The Brain Architecture Game: A Game About the Powerful Role of Relationships on Early Brain Development

Early childhood educators work with children during one of the most critical developmental periods of their lives — experiences at this young age are instrumental in shaping their future health and well-being. In this session, we will play a tabletop game designed to help us understand the powerful role that experience plays in both promoting and derailing brain development. We will then take a closer look how we can be part of promoting healthy brain development in our classrooms. This session will be a valuable resource for creating a common understanding and a common language for conversations about adverse childhood experiences, toxic stress, and other early childhood issues.
