Large-group time is a perfect opportunity for children to strengthen brain connections through purposeful movement and music activities. Through these experiences, children practice self-regulation, think creatively, and build connections with one another through shared group experiences. However, classroom management issues can often make large-group time a challenging part of the daily routine. In this active session, we will examine and practice strategies for sharing control with children at large-group time that keep children engaged in meaningful music and movement experiences to foster creativity.
