When young children are given the time and freedom to play in rich indoor and outdoor learning environments, their natural curiosity will lead them to engage in discovery about the world around them. If that environment includes opportunities to build, to climb, to carry, to splash, to read, to cook, to create, to experiment with different materials, they are going to be involved in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math – STEM.
In this session we will investigate how various components of HighScope Curriculum ensure lots of time for STEM learning to occur naturally, all within the framework of the curriculum. Be ready to open your mind to the possibilities!
