The Secret to Successful Large-Group Times: Shared Control

Do you often feel anxious, wondering how you are going to engage all twenty of your children during large-group time? When adults intentionally build opportunities for child-sized leadership roles within music and movement activities, large-group time becomes a more engaging learning experience. Shared control is a key principle of the HighScope Curriculum because it encourages children and adults to become partners in the teaching and learning process. This session will focus on strategies for sharing control during preschool large-group time.
