Let's Make a Plan! How to Support Children During Planning and Recall

When children are actively engaged in planning and recall, they build their working memory. When their plans are modified, they develop cognitive flexibility. This leads to increased intentionality during work time. As children engage in the planning process, there are three stages that they progress through, from simple to more complex, which leads to more complex play. In this session, participants will learn how to support children at various levels of the Plan-Do-Review® process and scaffold and support children’s play during work time.
